also when using the scanner or scripted alert module in pi, is it necessary to keep the charts open. because if suppose am scanning all fno scrips for a certain criteria, then having all the 140 or so stock charts open would put unnecessary load on the system

There is no option to get this adopted in Scanner

But you can use this in Scripted alert

ex: Buy if

 LAST>REF(HIGH,1)



Sell if 

LAST<REF(LOW,1)
