Any idea on the volume of finnifty compared with last week. I do not see a big fall there.

FINNIFTY

27-06-23 → 22,29,52,406 Contracts Traded
20-06-23 → 20,71,31,763 Contracts Traded

FINNIFTY derivatives is very successful.

Almost equal to total contracts traded of BN (27,26,51,732 on 15-06-23 )

I feel it would have been even higher if we did not have midcp nifty today.

And we can’t compare with banknifty since it’s sharing the same expiry day with nifty.
If bank nifty gets Monday(now that Friday is ruled out), am sure it will get 1.5times the volume on the very first expiry.

True

@Jason_Castelino , You’ve asked for it and Exchange has already issued a circular regarding this.

This definitely seems like @nithin’s superpower :grimacing:

That was very fast.
Nse listens to my requests faster than zerodha does.:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

In no way I mean to undermine your power, but did you actually pass on the feedback to the exchange. Just can’t believe they acted so fast.

Ok let me ask the Superman @nithin then!

Can you check with exchange to enable F&O for NiftyIT index ! It has 13% weightage on Nifty50 & would be a good hedging tool too.

  • it has all the qualities to become India’s Nasdaq !

@viswaram trying his best to have expiries on all 5 days of the week

This is probably a bigger lie than “I’ve read all the terms and conditions of the document”

Its a blessing in disguise to have expiries everyday. No more overnight positions required.

NiftyIT is high beta, agreed the current weightage would be similar to RELIANCE. But the future is tech !

Historically, IT & Pharma and probably FMCG have been termed as defensive sectors. But, that notion seems to be changing right now.

How are @nithin powers at MCX? :grimacing: I would prefer bulldex weekly expiries on Monday. Also they don’t have option contracts I guess.

Actually I use it it for hedging. Like today I am short at 19000. But am least bothered even if it comes ITM. :love_you_gesture:

Telecom + FMCG should be recategorized as RETAIL & then clubbed with IT

IT & RETAIL index !

would be interesting to check how RELIANCE spins off the IT dept.

***all are wishful thinking ! :thought_balloon: :thought_balloon: :thought_balloon:

FMCG is the best! If they announce a trading index for it. I will book my TATA CONSUMER Mutual Fund and start trading the expiry
