Can someone share his experiences of trading without indicator s …using only price action
Regards
I m not obsessed with chart patterns. I do watch charts occasionally.
Many times, I have traded without seeing charts or indicators. Yes purely on price action. But price action does employs charts too.
And success rate remains average only in both cases. Markets try to prove u wrong most of the times.
Charts n indicators can give u decent idea about support n resistance levels, EMA crossovers, RSI, etc.
But thats only to help u arrive at a decision.
I can tell you one thing which works in markets & that is SWING TRADING.
90% intraday traders always lose money. Swing traders have better odds & greater success rate.
I think most of the seasoned traders (> 5 years in market) grow out of the dependency on indicators at some point. I take swing trades based on the technicals (price action, support, resistance, sector performance etc.) without using any indicators and that works out pretty well. I do have this rule that i only buy fundamentally strong stocks and stay away from the likes of JP Associates, GMR, RCOM etc. (i.e. penny/junk stocks).
At the end of the day, indicators are simply derivates of price and volume so if one can read them directly, why would they need a translator in between.
Cheers!

Hello neha madam, I have noticed u aren’t writing VRD nation in your signature.
What happened? Your VRD nation’s Sir not with u anymore?
There is a saying that when you find great teacher, never leave their company . I am very much under his mentorship and plan to stay put.
I add the Url once in a while but don’t want to overdo it too.
Cheers!

Using price action in trading works very well , Basis of TA ( technical indicators ) are price action & volume .
if one use only price action , need to memorize or note down the certain price levels of stocks or commodity, i used only price action in commodity trading ( my capital trebled) , when i was started trading commodity , there was, almost no charting facility for retail traders , especially for commodities . For intra day it may be bit difficult , but works very well for swing /positional trading
Technical analysis as a practice is a derivative of price action since it uses past prices in calculations that can then be used to inform trading decisions.
simple price action is a real winner.
