Hi, I am new to trading and still learning. I am currently applying for higher studies abroad which can be for a period of 3-4yrs. I wanted to know if will I able to trade with my same account in Zerodha even when abroad?
Thankyou.
Technically - Yes!
Legally - No!
If you are out of India for more than 180 at a stretch, you are considered as NRI. Not sure how this applies to students outside India, but for sure it applies to working people. When treated as an NRI, you should not use your current resident accounts but convert them to NRO accounts.
