Trailing Stop-Loss

#1

Why minimum value for trailing stop-loss has to be 1? If I’m trading in <100 stocks and wand to give up only fraction of my gains what then?

Also does trailing stop loss move along tick by tick? ie. If stock valve goes up from 50.1 to 5.15 will trailing stop-loss move 0.05 points up?

Because we can’t keep different for different stocks. Also each update is like a new order , brokers ,exchanges have limited messages to use per second.

If trailing is 1, sl is 49 then if stock moves to 51 from 50, sl will move by 1 to 50, if stock moves to 51.5, sl will remain at 50 itself, it doesn’t move by every tick.
