i have strategy which i was unable to execute.
placed a CO of alumini sept at 106.95 with 106.85 stoploss and wanted to sell at 107.00
however whenever the LTP reached 107 and i tried to exit , the price again became 106.95 and i ended up selling at same price i bought .
i wonder is there anything with my strategy or just my speed ???
how can it be rectified ???
In Cover Order when you press Exit Order will be places as Market order. Your Order will execute @ Best Bid Price. In Alumini Minimum Spread is 5 Paise. Latest Traded Price may be 107 but Generally Bid Price will be below the LTP. That’s why Your order excuted @ 106.95. In this Case You are Lucky sometimes It may be Possible that Your Order may be excuted @ 106.90 or even less.
what if i don’t place CO , instead do simple buy , sell … high frequency trading ? suppose i just want to make 5 paise profit and don’t want to wait more what happens then ? how exactly to do it ?
Yup. You can but for 5 Paisa profit I think Man can not be do it. It is Possible in Algo Trading.

“ALGO TRADING” … what exactly is this algo trading ? i am not very tech savvy . however , i cannot let this hurdle stop me. want to know & learn more about algo trading . how and where can i do it ?
Algo Trading is a Automated Trading. As a Retailer If we want to do this type a very big Process is there. We have to pass NSCM exam and got approval from exchange to do Algo/Automated Trading and have to be very advanced trading Platform.
but PI is open for coding strategies , backtesting and using them in actual trading … are these strategies used for automated trades or just simple alert generation ?
In PI we can use Semi Automated Trading as a Retailer. It means When Buy / Sell Signal came as per Your Trade Script code It will show It “Generated Alerts” from there We can simply place the Orders. In Full Automated Trading Trading Terminal itself places the Order with out any manual intervention. As per my knowledge Automated Trading is currently using by the Big Players.
