Unable to square-off existing position for a scrip in ban period

Hi,

I have a short position in Just Dial which is in ban period. I am unable to square this off in Kite as well as Pi. Shouldn’t squaring off work even if a stock is under F&O ban? Why is it not going through - says rms rejected because of scrip being in ban.

If you are holding a position, there should be no issue squaring off positions. Do email such queries directly to [email protected]. If I have to guess, I’d say you had a pending limit order to exit this. So when you were trying to exit again, it was saying because of scrip in ban.

Thanks Nithin. Yeah, I had pending orders for all my positions - didn’t think about that. Anyways I called up and squared it off. Next time I’ll be sure to cancel existing SLs.
