A steep uptrend pattern consists of continually higher crests and troughs which are steep compared to just an uptrend pattern. The number of higher crests and troughs formed within a fixed duration should probably decide if it’s a steep uptrend.
A wedge uptrend is actually a falling wedge with continually lower crests and troughs formed between a wedge and any upward breakout from this wedge should cause the next upmove.
