when many traders were not able to log in and neither web platform was working, and also the phone lines were jammed, in such situation if trader has position and he is not able to cover and if he faces loss, broker like zerodha will pay him the loss ?

Yes the Web and mobile were facing issues. But the desktop platform was fine, everyone who had updated the NEST platform was able to place orders. But generally, any technical glitches, brokers are not liable to cover for the loss. SEBI/Exchanges ask broker to cover a loss only if there was any wiflful gain that was made by the broker. In case of technical glitches, broker doesn’t earn anything. Do send any Zerodha related questions to [email protected].
