As a retail if you want to buy Nifty 50 stocks in same proportional as in index then this will require large capital to invest. Also, you need to keep track of the index as and when new ticker is added or excluded from index. This will require your quality time.

Best alternate is to invest in Index ETF , that’s why they are designed and meant for.
