Why now zerodha and other brokers are sending weekly statements?
Is there any new circular form nse or sebi?

For Long term investors with little transactions in a year, most of the Weekly Statements are empty content but such mails keep accumulating.
Although it might be mandated by Regulator, is it possible to introduce option for user to enable/disable them ?

Like you have already mentioned, this is mandatory and unfortunately can’t be disabled.
