What can the collateral margin be used for?

What all can the collateral margin be used for? e.g. can it be used for buying and selling future and options?

Can be used for:

  • Options (only Selling)
  • Futures (Buying & Selling)
  • Intraday Equity Cash (Buying & Selling)

Cannot be used for:

  • Options (Buying) - Know why
  • Delivery Equity Cash
  • MCX Futures & Options - Why is that?
  • Mutual Funds / Bonds / G-Sec / NFO, etc…
