What happens when you let ITM currency options expire? What extra charges?

I have read this post and understand that STT is significantly higher if I let any equity options which is in the money expire on the expiry day.

I have just started trading currency options, what happens in case I let in the money currency options expire? Is there any additional charge like more STT I have to pay?

Currently there is no STT for trading on currency exchanges. So irrespective of if you hold the ITM (in the money) option contract after expiry or not won't have any impact in terms of paying higher STT.

The normal exchange transaction charges of 0.044% of premium will apply, either if you exit on the market or hold the position until after expiry. Check this link for charge list.

Yes, normal brokerage is typically applied. At Zerodha it is Rs 20 irrespective number of lots you let expire.
