Pro stands for Propreitary, these are trades executed on the brokers account itself.

Client, is when the trades are executed on client accounts.

Broker/Trading Member™ usually uses a Clearing Member(CM) to do all the settlements of his and his client’s settlement.

When the CM gets the details of our trade in his terminal, he should understand which one is Proprietory (i.e. owned by the TM) and which one is Client’s (clients who trade under the Trading Member).

So a tagging of PRO and CLI is done on all open positions. This information is collected and segregated by NSE to provide such data, I guess.

Thanks, as per the data Everyday Client trades more than FII’s … But normally we saw in a news paper that FII’s controlling the market ?. Today FII’s bought Rs 1283 crores worth on Capital market Segment. . If FII’s buy more and more index moves further ?
