What lock pi means?
Once you lock Pi, you have to enter your login password to unlock it. By locking Pi, no one else can use it.
It’s like a “Log off” function of Windows OS.
Lock Pi, means you can Lock/Password Protect your Pi application from unauthorised access.
Once you lock Pi, the next time you have to unlock it by entering your Login Password of Pi.
