When a stock hits the circuit limit, what happens to its corresponding future? What happens to option premiums?

When a stock hits the circuit limit, what happens to its corresponding future?

Will futures also be circuited?

Will the future circuit limit and stock circuit limit be same?

What happens to option premiums?

Will the premiums also get circuited?

All stocks which trade on F&O don't have any circuit limits. So the stock price and F&O price, can move as much. Remember Satyam, it had dropped more than 85% in one day, no circuit was hit.

But there are market wide circuit breakers for index movement, 10% entire market is shut for 1hour, 15% shut for 2 hours and 20%, market is closed for the rest of the day. Check this

OMG, I never knew this, I thought individual scrips have circuit filters/lilmits. Anyways @Nithin thanks for the info

@Nithin
Thanks, I have read this somewhere,
10% 15% and 20% circuit limit for scrips, all the F&O scrips have NO CIRCUIT.
My Bad! I forgot.
What happens if the scrip is banned today under F&O, will it be set with a circuit on the next trading day?

Yes once stocks are removed from F&O, they automatically get a circuit filter.

@Nithin
Understood. Thanks
