When we draw an EMA with 15 periods. Does it take last 15 days or last 15 candles

It considers last 15 candles…

It does not depend on the period but on the number of candles. For example if you are using 200 Period EMA and your time on chart is of 5 min, than in this case your each candle is of 5 min, so EMA will be calculated of last 200 candle.
