Where can i get the no of shares which can be traded by public? To calculate free float market capital for a share

i am trying to understand how price change affects nifty points. please help me with links.

Check the shareholding pattern of every company. Links are there on NSE and BSE sites.

Check you can see the free float market cap of a stock here.

To get the no of free float shares, just divide that by the closing price.

i checked but when i calculate free float with that numbers i get wrong values. i am getting confued

for eg check this link http://www.moneycontrol.com/stocks/marketstats/indcontrib.php?optex=NSE&opttopic=indcontrib&sort=contribution&order=1&index=9&classic=true … from this infosys has free float of 232,326.19 with price 1189.95 … where will you get no of shares to multiply that gets you to 232326.19
