Given below is the link to get the historical vix

http://www.nseindia.com/products/content/equities/indices/historical_vix.htm

Hope u will find this link useful

sir how can i see historical data of particular underlying like wipro dlf etc their historical iv etc??

@SonjoeJoseph The above link shows historical VIX but not IV of individual stock.

There are few paid tools which show historical IV of stocks. Just wanted to check if there are any free tools for the same.

I’m confused as to what you are looking for, as:

“ Historical volatility is the annualized standard deviation of past stock price movements. It measures the daily price changes in the stock over the past year.
In contrast, implied volatility (IV) is derived from an option’s price and shows what the market implies about the stock’s volatility in the future.”

So do you want to compare the historical volatility of the STOCK prices? If so, get historical EOD data from NSE website and compute SD (standard deviation), using any tool like excel or whatever.

If your looking for historical implied volatility of the stock’s option prices, I don’t know where one would be able to get that, as even zerodha API doesn’t backfill expired contracts data.

Just my 2 cents
