The funds are getting blocked as margin when I place a bracket order even before it’s executed. This way, one can’t place another bracket order for another stock(if all the money is used up in the first bracket order as margin) without cancelling the first BO. Why can’t the system take BO and use up the funds as margin only if the order gets executed? This way, one can place many BO(essentially tapping into any one of those trades) which means more opportunities for a trader.
Yes it get blocked once you place a limit order in any order type as to avoid risk for both broker and client. Because if we place multiple orders using same margin and if orders gets executed at same time then if margin wasnt as required then broker does also face problem and meanwhile we also does face the problem.
so to avoid risk the margin is blocked once you place limit order, and it may be any ordertype.
