Why I see most intraday traders trading in futures only?? I have never seen any screenshot shared by any trader where he has traded in stocks?
Nifty is most liquid and hence the traders tend to trade this most often. But single stock futures are quite popular as well. A bit dated but this should give you a sense of how the non index contracts fared -
as far as i know, intraday margin is lower for futures compared to same quantity equity. when the quantity is higher equity does not execute at the same price for all quantity it may vary few paise, so it becomes little difficult to see if all quantities are executed or not. in this case futures behaves as 1 entity so makes easy for scalpers and intraday traders.
