What’s the reasoning behind it being called as Coin?

Coin is a direct mutual fund platform, which means that finally you don’t have to pay upto 1.5% and 1% every year commission to the distributor/platform where you purchased the fund. These % commission over a longer period of time compound and can become significantly big.
So the idea was to remind people that “Rupee saved is a Rupee earned”. The rupee - “The Coin”.
