Why there is 0. 2% difference in Nifty and Sensex levels?

For example, today, on August 12, 2016, Nifty is up 0.75% but Sensex is up 0.96%.

Nifty or Sensex, which one is profitable to trade ?

Both indices as you know, is designed to reflect the general trend of the Indian Stock Market.

Even though they move together up or down most of the time, they are not designed to move at the same pace.

NIFTY reflects the trend of 50 important stocks while SENSEX takes into account the trend of only 30 stocks.

When the market moves sideways in the opening range you will also notice that one of the Index is positive while its cousin is negative.

This is just a simple explanation to get a beginner started.
