Suppose I place a limit order at 105.10 and suddenly current price rockets to 130 will my order get executed?
Yes… Since your order is sell… You are quoting to sell below current market price… Hence your order indirectly is a market order
Thanks for sharing the knowledge. I am specifically talking about the following scenario.
say current market price is 80 and market is closed. I place a limit sell order 105.10 as an AMO to execute for next day. However the stock opens at 130 and continue to rise will my order get executed?
I placed a limit order. as you say it will be treated as market order so what will be the price my limit price or the current market price(which is higher than my limit sell price)?
Your order would be executed with mostly open price or near to that.
