Zerodha has suddenly doubled the SEBI charges

Hi zerodha, I noticed that on your zerodha website, you have increased the SEBI charges suddenly from 5 per crore to 10 per crore.

Any SEBI notification you can share? How come it increased by 100% in 1 day?

Hey @Praksy SEBI had reduced the charges by 50% only till March 31, 2021. Here’s the circular for your reference.

What’s difference between sebi charges and sebi turnover fees ?
turnover fees are deducted in contract note and sebi charges deducted from funds statement in console.

Then why deducting directly from funds and also in daily contract note ? Which is correct.why this discrepancies ?

@Nakul
Explain 2nd para of my question.

As per this SEBI circular, the SEBI turnover fee was reduced from Rs. 10 per crore to Rs. 5 per crore from June 01, 2020 to March 31, 2021. However, you were charged Rs. 5 per crore as SEBI turnover fee for your trades until May 4, 2021. This is what is collected on your contract notes. We have now charged the difference of Rs. 5 per crore that was not charged from April 1st to May 4th to your ledger.

To add to what @Nakul has explained, you aren’t being charged twice. All the charges you see on the contract note are posted on your ledger.

So what this an error on part of Zerodha? that you did not correctly input revised sebi charges after March 31st 2021? or something else happened?
