What is the purpose of Expert Advisors in Zerodha Pi.
If we need to get alerts, we can create scripted alerts. Where does the EA come into picture.
Or are they both the same thing?
The EA on Pi is good if you are a daytrader trading only in selected stocks say like 5 stocks, or if you are an index trader.
You can code the conditions of your strategy and leave it running on multiple Pi Charts, the EA will generate sound alerts when the conditions are matched on you selected stocks.
You can use some of the predefined EA codes too.
On the other hand, The Scripted Alerts you find in PI was originally designed for automated trading, which is disabled for the moment because of exchange restrictions.
