I want to know if dividend is credited directly to bank account. Or is it credited to trading account. I have received money transfer from ONGC to bank account. I think it is dividend pay, but confused. Any ideas?

I am planning to buy some Dividend paying Smallcase but before that, I want to know whether the dividends will be paid or transferred into my bank account and how often should i expect dividends from these stocks which are there in dividend-paying Smallcase.

No fixed frequency. You will get it as and when the company announces it.

The dividends will be credited to your Bank account directly. Once the dividends are declared, this gets updated in your invested smallcases immediately after the ex-date. Though this would take around 40 days to get credited to your bank account.
And yes, the frequency would be the call from the company.
