As per bulletin it should expire by 12.30. FBIL reference rate is released by 1.30. I have short positions. They are OTM as per FBIL ref rate. Still I do not see the margins released for next trading. So exactly when this will be released? Only next day?
Same issue today as well. Margin is not released from sell orders as well as expired position. Can’t go for new orders.

Those will be released only after market close as settlement has not yet happened, only other way to get those margins release to take new positions is to close existing positions just before 12.30 on expiry day.
Yes you are right but why does margin not releases for pending sell orders , nor they are cancelled.
That’s can be the case of open positions. What about pending orders in expired contracts? They are not released yet.
Ideally if the order is not completed then it should not block any margin after expiry, will check this case.
