India is the world’s largest equity derivatives market by volume, yet SEBI’s 2024 study reveals that 93% of individual traders incur losses. As part of my PGDM dissertation at Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), I am investigating the behavioural, educational, and structural factors driving this alarming loss rate among retail options traders in India.
If you currently trade or have recently traded in Equity Futures & Options, I would be grateful if you could spare 5 minutes to fill out this anonymous survey.
Your responses will directly inform academic research aimed at improving financial literacy and investor protection in India’s derivatives market.
You are absolutely right sir but I think researching on it will help knowing what causes retailer loose money more. Also the fact that we have one of the largest population invested in option trading even though most people dont even know what the actual use options and futures are but are ready to loose thousands and lakh on it.
Thank you for filling the form sir
No sir my form primarily focuses on what can be possible reasons behind retailers loosing money in options and futures. Jane street on the other hand i would say people dont even know what that this. I will read up more on it because last i remember they had to pay fine to SEBI to continue trading in Indian markets. I havent looked into fiis manipulation of the market which causes retailers to loose money. I will try including a section about fiis manupulations.
Also sir Thank you for filling the form
