A small appreciation for 'The Daily Brief' team

I like the daily articles in my inbox. So just wanted to say kudos to the research and writing team. https://thedailybriefing.substack.com/

@nithin, one question though - finshots backed by zerodha already exists. I like finshots’ in-depth articles as well, but they are not so frequent. Now ‘The daily brief’ is launched?

Similarly, @Tickertape is a product of Zerodha backed @smallcase. Earlier the Kite Fundamentals information was powered by Tickertape (which I prefer) and recently it was replaced with @Tijori_Finance?

I was just intrigued by such changes and having two entities for the same purpose. On a lighter note, this kinda thing usually happens in a large corporate having two individuals/ teams/ subsidiaries compete with each other. :grinning:

This was a personal problem: I needed a quick podcast with 3 to 5 important stories that are happening currently that I need to be aware of. We are converting the podcast into a newsletter.

@finshots still writes one article daily, which comes into my inbox daily. The articles are not necessarily about finance and markets.

Essentially, it is two different formats.

This was more of a challenge, but eventually, it came down to the fact that Tickertape was one of the things that Smallcase was doing; Tijori was the only thing that the team was building. Eventually the better product for the customer wins.

Finshots daily content has become a must read for me. Thanks to Finshots team for their excellent work
A big appreciation from my side as well.

Missing their weekly markets content. Used to be a great read

Can you consider making z-connect articles easier to find? There are great articles there but the search process or the discovery is poor.

For example, on Business and product updates – Z-Connect by Zerodha,

the “subtext” section does not seem to be a zerodha specific thing but a good read. It should be on a different site or there should be some email newsletter for these type of articles.

Even great varsity articles like JPY-USD: The Great Carry Trade – Z-Connect by Zerodha seem better suited on a different page

How do we make it easy to discover? Different page doesn’t help

Non zerordha articles, market commentary and educational articles could be a blog on varsity instead of on z-connect.

If I’m not wrong, many Zerodha clients don’t visit TradingQnA daily and those who do are probably very few. I find reading Groww Digest at the end of the day helpful as it covers daily market activities. If Zerodha or its team started sending something like daily trading diary to email at the end of the day. Which would likely be beneficial for both Zerodha and everyone, including non Zerodha users.

What would you like to see in this digest?

True, i don’t use Groww, but i do try to read the daily Groww digest, just to check what happened on that day.

So, i would also love for Zerodha to come up with a daily digest of the key happenings for the day in the Indian markets and the economy in general, if possible a bit of global angle too, as to how the other markets performed.

Additional it could feature an explanation on any market or economic or finance or industry related term each day. (More like an FAQ)

Obviously i feel if you do this it would appear to be a copy cat of Groww digest, but that is not my intention here.

It could be something on the similar lines, with some infographics and stats would add more life to it.

I know Zerodha is already doing a lot in spreading knowledge, through Finshots/Z-connect/Varsity and now the Daily brief.

But you can use the Telegram app better and as a medium to share some daily insights as mentioned above.

Same. Don’t use groww but am subscribed to the digest. Helpful, no BS digest of whatever has happened that day
