When an order is placed through GTT, the there is no tag, even if the GTT was created by a buy order with a tag.
This messes up the tag history, since there is a tag only on buy side and not on sell side.
Of course, you can’t even tag the order after it is placed. So please make the GTT inherit the tags of the buy order, or atleast allow users to place tags on a GTT order.
A simple feature to tag orders after that have been placed would resolve this issue. There should not be any issues implementing this, since tagging is a Zerodha provided feature, and not somethin that has to be updated at the exchanges or depository.
Currently, it is not possible to add tags to Kite after the order is placed due to some technical limitations. However, we acknowledge the need to track GTT orders through tags.
We’ll internally review the feasibility of this and @TheGouda will update here. We could potentially show all system-based orders auto-tagged or filtered such as orders from GTT, baskets, Icebergs, etc.
Hope it is possible to add tags after order has been placed in the future. Would really simplify things and improve trading experience
