I need info about Dividend one small cap company announced Interim Dividend
As record date 18 july, can i eligible to receive dividend if i buy shares on record date. 18 july is saturday so I’ll buy on
17 july friday N will sell on monday still i get dividend
Record date comes after ex-dividend date. What is ex-dividend date of this stock? If you have bought shares before ex-dividend date you will be eligible for dividends.
Does that mean if ex date is 10july and I purchase stock on 9 July I will be eligible for dividend

On 16th July stock goes ex-dividend, you will have to buy before that and can sell after 16th.
Also if you are going to sell immediately then why are you buying because on ex-dividend date stocks price drops to the extent of dividend paid, there is no gain in this for you.

Really, i saw a breakout on this also so thought buy for positional, if i bought on 15 n sell 16 will get dividend n some returns in equity also
If 16th the ex-date, then you can sell on the day. And you will still get the dividend.
