Once the account is closed, the client cannot reopen the same account with the same user ID. Clients will have to open a new account.
Guys we need the app for this trading QnA , itās so good I want to spend more time rather than just on the web. Do we anything on the pipeline for it? Just curious
Hey Sarthak, we use Discourse, an open-source forum software, to run TQNA. A dedicated app isnāt in the books. However, you can simply use the āadd to home screenā option on your mobile browser and access TQNA like any other app.
If youāre interested in how that works, check out Progressive Web Apps.
I asked that may I open a new account in the same broker after the first account get closed?
I know the user ID will be different. But I only want confirmation that an user can create a new account or not in the same broker after the first account got closed? Is it against any rules? @Pai
Yep, no issues as such.
Ok sir @Pai . So you mean I can open the new account again in the same broker where I closed the account. Right?
Sorry little bit worried so asking it again in full detail.
@himudaji Dude, yes, you can close and open accounts as many times as you like. It is all legal. People does it all the time. No need to worry as long as you are calculating your taxes accurately. You can relax.
Technically, no A brokerās internal system may trigger an alert for repeated closure and opening, and beyond a reasonable number, account opening may not be allowed, unless thereās a genuine reason
Oh My bad. I have only done it twice soā¦
You have already done this? May I ask with which broker?
Iāve done this at least 3ā4 times with Upstox, Fyers, and Angel One. With Angel One, you cannot reopen a Demat account with the same PAN number within 90 days.
Zerodha itself. I had one old account from 2012 or so when Zerodha launchedā¦ But out of platform issues from 2020-2023, I closed it out of frustration. But then Zerodha started listening to customers again. Here I am back.
