Annuity plans (if in demat) can be pledged?

Adding to the list of my overly aspirational queries, I would like to know if annuity plans can be pledged for margin?

This is from the NPS site for reference:

So pre-matured exit from NPS would force me to purchase an Annuity plan, I was wondering if there is a provision for me to purchase an annuity plan and pledge that for margin?

If so, I would love to exit from NPS (and probably quit corporate to pick up farming ) and use the margin for option selling.
