Few days ago, Midcap Nifty Select index fell more than 2% between 1.25-1.30pm. Today, i.e., 18-04-2024, there is sharp decline of Nifty in the same time range. Also, I have observed that big candles/movments occur during 1.25-1.30 generally also. What triggers index to move sharply in this period?

Interesting observation.
There was no news in both the occasions so my assumption which actually doesn’t make sense would be that it coincides with the opening of European markets as they generally open around 1:30 PM IST

Meher bhai, daylight savings done after March so time relative to IST is 12:30pm

Operators have lunch at 1 and come back
if SBI bank employees were operators, there would be a lull between 12.30 and 2.30
