Applied with 10 Lakh+ in HDB IPO but no Allotment

I’m a bit confused with this. I was under the assumption that NII allotment is pro rata and not based on lottery. I applied with just a bit over 10 Lakh and the category was over subscribed by 12.44. How come I didn’t get any allotment at all?

You should have applied through Retail category for this IPO as it was subscribed only 1.51 times. Most of the people got the IPO due to the less subscription.

Maybe your application had some mistake (e.g. incorrect BOID) and was rejected.

I know. I was expecting Retail to also be oversubscribed but I guess that most retailers went the shareholder quota route.

My BOID was correct.

I applied for a little over 10 lakh worth of shares. Given the 12.44x oversubscription, I should’ve gotten at least 5 lots based on the pro rata allocation method. Is there something I am missing here?

The only reason I can think is the application was rejected due to some incorrect information while applying for it. Maybe some typo in the application.

NII allocation for main board IPO are lottery basis. This change was done long back.

Damn there is so much outdated information about this on the internet

No, it never changed for NIIs. Can you share the article link where you read it?

On all the IPO related sites (e.g. chittorgarh) and other sites, it still says it is based on reservation and not the lottery system.

Now it is available at below IPO price and no one wants to buy it
