Are loss making companies staging a comeback or is it a dead cat bounce?

We have seen it yesterday with Paytm and seeing it today with Zomato.

Both the companies have announced losses but are up by 10 and 15% respectively.

Is it a sign of temporary bottom in these new age loss making companies? or is it just a dead cat bounce after falling 50-60%

The mentioned companies have lost its niche where it started.

With regard to Zomato’s future, most popular restaurants are implementing their own home-delivery department (that are actually functional). You won’t need a middleman there anymore. Also from what I have observed during conversation going on in social circles, the general public are not convinced that the delivery associates on these platform’s are not getting paid for what they deserve, so some friends I know prefer to order directly from the restaurant ( which is free ) and pay the delivery person separately some extra cash when they arrive.
