“Do technical indicators like Market profile, Order flow, RSI, VWAP etc. actually improve your trading, or do they just create more confusion?”
If you overcomplicate, its just noise.
I think for both investors and traders, below are sufficient:
Bollinger bands, RSI, Moving averages, Support resistance, Candlestick patterns
Depends on what type of trader u r, if u mix everything then it’s noise + confusion, if not then u learn those
some are good for screening but not good as indicators. Example moving averages , MACD
some are plain useless - fibonacci , moon phase , astrology
I use a few TA I find useful - YMMV. ![]()
I do not depend solely on it. ![]()
Classical TA:
- parallel channels
- S&R
Computerized TA:
- EMA: 20, 50, 100, 200 periods. But mostly 50 and 200.
- MACD (defaults)
- Stochastics (default, K hidden)
Analysis on higher TF and then down. ![]()
As I’m a positional trader, that is weekly and daily. ![]()
