That’s humongous…Exporters are gonna make windfall gains…Hope some of the benefits accrued from this are diverted towards local consumers…Taxing them may not be the smartest move…

Europe has decided to curtail 90% Russian oil imports. Now west will again pressurise India to stop buying from Russia. Earlier India’s argument was that Europe buys more than us which will be weakened now. How long Government can resist the pressure now need to be seen.
Does this directly result in lower prices of petrol for Indians or it results in improved margins for refiners like Reliance ?
Russian oil imports are still a small percentage of what we order from other countries. This weight-age can increase in coming times, but lets wait and watch.
