Hey Chetan, no immediate plans for a micro-cap as of now. The smallcap 100 ETF covers appx 65% or total turnover and appx 55% of market cap representation. In an ETF format, liquidity of the underlying is very important and so the index is a good mix of the largest and most liquid companies in the segment. Rgds
Hey, thanks for your suggestion and the industry has been taking it up at regular intervals with the relevant authorities. Rgds
Hey Mukesh, no plans as of now. But once our smallcap 100 etf gets listed in the 2nd week of September, you could look at replicating the Nifty 500 using our largecap, midcap and smallcap etf. Hope this helps. Rgds
Hi @VishalJain Sir, any plan to launch smallcap 100 fund also - for the users like us who are bit skeptical about ETF liquidity.
Hey Satyakam, no immediate plans as of now. Rgds
Not sure if you have any control over when ETF is eligible for pledge but it is important for fast adoption, Mid150Case is still not in pledge list even after such a long time. Please check if you guys are missing some criteria?
If I make a investment using WhatsApp will it still show in my Coin App??
And if I make an initial investment using coin and then buy further using WhatsApp will it show in coin?
Hey Anil, this is not in our control as its governed by the exchanges based on SEBI regulations. Rgds
Hey Chetan, yes it will. Rgds
@VishalJain Are there plans to introduce leveraged ETFs, inverse ETFs, and options on ETFs? ![]()
The current product line up for passive investing across asset classes is impressive, but it would be equally awesome to have trading vehicles for active traders from ZFH. ![]()
Hey Pavin, at this point regulations do not permit leveraged products in the MF structure. Wrt to having trading vehicles for active trades, do elaborate a bit more in terms of what kind of specific products are you referring to. Rgds
Hey Rahul, difficult to say an ideal holding period as its very individual specific. However, specifically for the multi-asset, as its broadbased exposure, the longer the better, IMO atleast 5 years, but always good to talk to an advisor. Rgds
I was mainly hoping for options on ETFs and leveraged Long and Short ETFs. For example, Nifty 3x leveraged Long ETF (with options) and Nifty 3x leveraged Short ETF (with options).
As leveraged products are not allowed yet, could you look into enabling options on ETFs, I’d like to see it for the following:
- Zerodha Nifty 100 ETF
- Zerodha Gold ETF
- Zerodha Silver ETF
- Zerodha Nifty Midcap 150 ETF
- Zerodha Nifty Smallcap 100 ETF
Hey Pavin, sorry but options on ETFs are also not allowed in India as of now. Hoping sometime in the future all these will get allowed. Rgds
Why does LIQUIDCASE have a TER of 0.27% while Zerodha Overnight fund has 0.08%, when both invest in the same TREPS? Are there any specific difficulties in managing a ETF over a direct MF?
@VishalJain i also have the same doubt as above regarding TER of liquid case etf and the corresponding mutual fund. Pl explain
Hi, you are correct that both Liquid ETF & Overnight fund have the same underlying investment in TREPS.
However, Liquid ETFs being an exchange traded product has additional charges such as depository charges, stamp duty, exchange transaction fees and other regulatory charges which are not there in the overnight fund. Hence both products have different cost structures. Rgds
@VishalJain We do pay these charges in addition to brokerages when we buy/sell on the exchange using our DPs. But those shouldn’t be included in TER as the MF itself isn’t paying these. Right? Or are you saying MF is paying these charges in addition to us paying it as well?
Yeah i also have the same doubt
