Automatic order genaration in kite

In Kite I placed buy bracket order for 200 Hindalco. After it was executed, the system automatically created two sell orders one for 74 shares and another for 126 shares. This is unfair because it results in paying brokerage for two sell orders rather than one.

Hi,

True, even I’m pissed because of this. I did try reaching Zerodha customer support but I didn’t hear from them(only in this particular case, usually they respond ASAP).

I think this is system generated and at the mercy of the system only. I hope Zerodha fixes this. Due to this I stopped BO orders & stuck to CNC trades(sometimes even CNC gets executed in parts, but relatively less).

Thanks.

Mr.Nitin Kanath should clarify on this. They have programmed Kite software to generate more automatic orders even if it should be one order. They should modify their Kite software to remove this unfair feature.

Any order can be traded multiple times, I mean for ex: A want to buy 1000 quantity at limit price of 200 rs, suppose sellers B,C,D are available at 200 rs with 200,300,400 quantities respectively. Then the above order will be traded multiple times, in this case 3 times with a trade resulting between A and B for 200 quantity at 200 rs, between A and C for 300 quantity at 200 rs , and between A and D for 400 quantity at 200 rs and for remaining quantity of 100 order will be sitting as limit at 200 rs.

Now coming to BO, this order type works such that it will always result in two leg orders, one is stop loss order and other is target order. Consider the above case, as initial parent leg of A resulted in 3 multiple trades based on availability of quantity, each trade will result in 3 separate stop loss orders and 3 separate target orders. This is how BO works. If the parent order got traded with 10 different counter parties then it would have resulted in 10 different SL and target orders.

Are you thick? This is how bracket orders works. If you don’t know about something, you shouldn’t be using it. Instead of making dumbass allegations. If you by a long chance, are interested in learning how bracket orders work. Check this link.

Better understand my question properly before jumping to answer like an idiot.

Your four fingers point to you that you are a dumbass. My concern is that order should be placed one however it can be traded in multiple parts.
