Basket order feature on Kite web - Testing & Feedback

This can happen.

I am buying SBIN 1000 shares at a limit price of 192.6 and selling 1000 SBIN shares at a limit price of 192.8 on what order it will be executed. First Instrument is buy and Second Instrument is sell

Orders are sent simultaneously but in sequence, so your Buy order will be sent first and then Sell order.

Why you are putting Buy and Sell order for same scrip in the basket… The execution won’t happen in sequence, this will execute either of the orders depending on CMP.

How does brokerage is calculated in basket order for options? Does a basket order counted as one or as many lots or quantities added all coounted?

Brokerage for each order in Basket will be charged seperately.

suppose my buy order is executed fully at 192.6 then the cmp changes to 192.8 at this moment will the sell order gets executed

Yes, it will get executed, until price reaches to the level of your Limit Sell order it will remain pending in your Order Book.

one more query on simultaneously but in sequence let say my basket is of this sequence

The CMP of SBIN is 192.6 & HDFC is 1724 in this scenario how the order will be executed

All orders will be sent to exchange once you hit the execute button.

SBI’s CMP is 192.6, this will execute your Buy order while Sell order at 192.8 will remain pending.

HDFC’s CMP is 1724, and so is your Buy price so HDFC will get executed if it matches offer.

Reporting a bug.
While calculating margin required column there is error in calculation.
Suppose I have X lots short in position. Now in Basket if I put in exit buy order for X lots only, Margin Req. displayed is 0. This is Ok.
But if i put in 2X lots buy order, the margin calculated is directely Twice! (As much required tio buy 2X lots). While it should be as much as required by X lots only.

No reply to earlier post.
Again reporting new bug.

I have these positions.

Now trying to shift one leg.

Even exit order showing margins even though it must be 0

You have positions in nrml right? basket in mis.

It is a long overdue feature. Better Late than never. I have a question.

Suppose I want to hedge an existing open position which is not in my basket, is it possible to do that. I just want to choose an open position in my portfolio, bring it over to the basket. Try different hedging strategies to figure the optimal margin requirement and then deploy it. Is it possible to do this with the current setup?

Basket is just a way to place multiple orders in one shot, you can do whatever you want, if you want to add 1 leg to existing positions then just do it normally, no need to use basket.

@ Siva What will be the timings to order “execute” ?
Suppose I see the price of equities at 9.10 a.m., which orders I should place ? (AMO or wait till 9.15 p.m.)

AMO Orders cannot be placed in Equity segment after 8:59 AM, you will have to place order when market opens.

Does bracket orders are allowed in this feature, once it’s resumed ?
