Benifit for shareholders from NTPC green IPO

How does the share holders get benifit. Is demerger. Does share holders get allotment after demerger of green business.

Yes, the shareholders do shares of the demerged company. Example: When Jio Financials demerged from reliance, the existing shareholders got equity of Jio financials in the agreed ratio. In this example it was 1:1

IF it is an IPO , parents co shareholders MAY GET ,MAY NOT GET preferential quota . there has been cases where preferential quota was mentioned in DRHP but omitted in RHP .
IF it is D-MERGER you get shares of Resulting co too live examples being Vikram thermao , Jaysanth dyestuff ETC ETC .

Since it is an IPO,. Do you mean Existing share holders will not own any shares in newly listed NTPC green

If there is preferential quota (not all ipo have ) for parent co shareholders , you have to APPLY in this category during ipo . no firm allotment assured.

Not directly.
as per current available news, it will be an IPO wherein NTPC green will be sharing shares.
Interested investor (including you) can apply for those shares.

Being a NTPC shareholder might (no confirmation yet) get you a special quota. So a part of shares being sold might be reserved for all NTPC shareholders.

IF AT ALL there is a preference quota for parent co shareholders , you must hold atleast 1 share on the date of DRHP filling by co with sebi .
