Best Bank/Saving Account for monthly income/expenses?

Idfc are no longer giving good rates. This is when compared to listed small finance banks. Equitas is offering 8.5 for 444 days deposits. Rbl is 8 for 24 months and yes bank and au at 8 for 18 months deposits.
Idfc and indus ind the max is 7.75
Ujjivan too is around 8

Bob is 7.25 for one year plus

Suryoday sfb is giving in the range of 8.65

There are two other bank such as unity sfb. They too are giving higher rates but i am not comfortable

I am more worried with charges then good interest rates cause for the later i would approach FD or investing instrument.

I was thinking IDFC seems to be one of those emerging bank where they have good facilities of a top tiered bank like HDFC and ICICI and rate for most of those services is zero… but this is all theory knowledge… would like some feedback across the community of them and charges.

A typical example that i want to avoid would be of ICICI bank i have account there they are charging me 200rs for debit card per year. and if i say i dont need it then Netbanking doesnt work cause of their stupid system of some grid password which is printed on debit card… its a complete dark pattern that is being employed here…

Hope none have faced anything similar with IDFC…or any of the dark patterns being employed.

I have an account with IDFC for long since they started off giving 7% on savings bank account. Till now there has not been any charges or incidental expenses. But their interest rates are not that great now as they moved to tiered structure, if you are ok with that, then there are no additional charges. I been banking with them for the last 7 years or more. Their mobile app is great and for me they do not charge any fee for IMPS transfer as well. Icici Bank and federal bank charge for imps transfer.

These are interest rate for regular - you will get 0.50% more if Senior Citizen. The rate varies between banks but overall it is 0.50% over regular rates.
