Beyond Entry Signals: The Importance of Trade Management

I’ve been trading gold for quite some time, and one thing I’ve learned is that having a good entry strategy is only part of the job.

In the beginning, I spent most of my time looking for better indicators and entry signals. But after reviewing my trades, I realized that many of my losses came from poor trade management rather than bad entries.

For example, I sometimes moved my stop loss too early, closed profitable trades too soon, or entered again after a loss without a clear plan.

Recently, I’ve started paying more attention to recording my trades and reviewing my performance. Having a clear trading history makes it much easier to identify repeated mistakes.

I also became interested in tools that can help automate certain parts of trading, especially EA tools and account management systems.

There’s still a lot to learn, but I’ve found that improving the process behind trading can be just as important as finding a good strategy.

How do you usually review your trading performance? Do you use any tools to track or manage your trades?
