I hope he takes the chance to enjoy what he has earned and truly live his life, rather than hiding his savings and leaving behind a surprise for others to discover someday.

I personally feel that he can be anyone but the Japanese. It is always and mostly a deliberate attempt to mislead.
Sometimes the best way to mislead is to say the truth.
