Bug: sorting is buggy in tradebook

https://console.zerodha.com/reports/tradebook

This page has very poor sorting or maybe I’m doing something wrong

Assume there are 2 pages of content with 20 entries (default page size) named AAA and 20 more named BBB

when you see the results by default they’re sorted by date which is ok. So you sort by name and you get AAA on page 1 and BBB on page 2. So to see BBB, you go to page 2 and now name sorting is gone !!! it’s ordered by date and showing page 2 of date sorting.

So you sort again by name and now even on page 2 you see AAA only !!! Even clicking sort by name again doesn’t do anything.

Hey, we attempted to replicate the behavior across segments following the steps you provided, but we haven’t encountered the same issue on our end. Could you please raise a ticket here? This way, we can get in touch to gather additional details and investigate further to address it if the issue persists.

I’ll try to screen record it tomorrow when console is out of maintenance. And will also attach the CSV for your reference and easy bug redoing.

Support response that I got:

We would like to clarify that for sorting, we offer a soft option where you can choose between name sorting or date sorting. This will not impact your experience. For enhanced sorting capabilities, you may download the report in Excel format and sort it as needed. Please note that the report is not a single paged document; it is your entire tradebook divided across multiple pages, as it cannot be displayed in a single view.

We’re getting this checked. Kindly allow us some time.
