Can i attend AGM of a company even if i hold only 1 share of that company? What are the procedures for the same?

@AR1 : YES you can attend AGM even if you have 1 equity share of the company . without even holding a single share you can also attend as proxy for a shareholder . there is no procedure but to be there at scheduled place on schedule time.

Does anyone know exact procedure to attend an AGM? Say I turn up at the venue on said date and time, how will the company know I hold its shares? What proof of ownership should I carry ?

Present yourself at venue with demat holding statement and your id .

Varies from company to company. Lot of company does require pre-registration for attending physically.
Generally details are provided in annual report of company.

Also, post covid, lot of companies have stopped doing physical AGM and are doing it through video conferencing.
