I already have a sbi demat account which is earlier mapped with motilal oswal (tie up b/w sbi demat & motilal oswal trading account) and that tie up has ended and now no trading account is mapped to sbi demat account .So can i open trading account with zerodha and map it with my old sbi demat?
Yes you can link your sbi demat account with zerodha trading account with the help of client master list issued by sbi demat while opening account.
I have also linked my RSEC Demat A/c with Zeroda… Just you need to provide the CMR (Client Master Report ) copy. That may take 10-15 days… but that works
in the meantime you can tare in FNO which does not require a demat.
Yes you can do so. But there’s a catch, you can buy your shares from Zerodha and then the shares will get transferred to your SBI demat account however you cannot sell your shares from Zerodha and you’ll have to sell it via your SBI trading account which will attract a brokerage rate specified by SBI.
And it is such because brokerage are now wary about how Zerodha is evolving and no one wants to lose business which is why other companies are unwilling to share their PoA with any other broker.
P.S. - Did you know? It was because of Zerodha that HSBC Invest Direct shut down. Zerodha took their business.
Hi @humble - did you get an answer to your question?
