Guys am new to trading, plz help out. suppose I buy infy shares in the morning as a CNC order and by 2 pm i realize its giving profit can I sell that time same day ? will there be any penalty since the share settlement takes t +2 days and I sold share without a settlement

You can sell on same day, it will be counted as Intraday trade. No penalties.
wht in case if i sell next day or next to next day ?

You can sell any time you want after Buying. Though Buying today and Selling tomorrow (Called as BTST) has risks associated with it, Read this to know more.
Why is BTST carrying these risks while intraday not having it? The possibility of seller defaulting on shares is same in both cases right?
